New member of the AIT Management Board: Thomas Rapp

Zurich – From 1 July 2015, Thomas Rapp will be responsible for the Energy Supply and Transport Technology division of the Alpiq InTec Group. At the same time he will also be joining the Management Board.

With a view to the upcoming retirement of Daniel Steiner, the current Division Manager of Energy Supply and Transport Technology, Thomas Markus Rapp will take over this role from 1 July 2015. In this position he will also become a member of the Management Board of the Alpiq InTec Group. In order to get to know the company better before taking on this role, he will begin in a part-time capacity on 1 April 2015.

Thomas Rapp (48) possesses in-depth knowledge of the railway and transport technology industry. After completing his graduate degree in electrical engineering (ETH), he began his career at ABB Verkehrssysteme AG and obtained a doctorate degree at the University of St.Gallen. At Siemens Switzerland Ltd he worked as the Head of Product Management for Railway Infrastructure and as the Vice-Director/Division Manager of Transport Technology and Infrastructural Logistics.
