EGT electricity comes into vogue with New Yorker

From 1 January 2008, EGT Energiehandel in Triberg, Germany, will supply electricity to all the German branches of the European-wide active fashion company New Yorker. The agreement with the energy provider, which belongs to the Alpiq Group and the EGT Group of Companies, is valid for two years. The annual sales volume for the more than 300 fashion stores is approximately 36 GWh.

The crucial factor in the awarding of the contract by New Yorker, in addition to the attractive price, was the Multi-site Service offered by EGT Energiehandel. This means that EGT takes over for New Yorker the complete responsibility for the coordination and accounting control for the energy supply, including the registration and deregistration of the individual user sites with the local network operator. The checking of the network usage charges, which are incurred for the switching through of the electricity to the actual user site, and the verification of the individual invoices are also included in the package.

Frank Jarmer, Managing Director of EGT Energiehandel, expressed his delight at the agreed cooperation: "We are proud that with New Yorker we have been able to acquire a well-known customer. The Multi-site Service has been specifically conceived for companies and institutions which have many sites, branches or subsidiaries. Upon request, EGT Energiehandel prepares for its customers a structured and very detailed overall invoice that summarises all the user locations in a clearly presented and understandable manner. Also integrated is the prior verification of the correctness of the individual invoices. The Multi-site Service also facilitates the rapid analysis of the cost structure and simultaneously significantly reduces the customer's internal administrative workload. All these factors generate considerable cost and time benefits for the company. Not least because a single EGT contact person competently and reliably controls the full range of services.
