Kees van Hoek is the new Head of Market Switzerland
The new head of the Alpiq Business Unit Market Switzerland is Kees van Hoek. The 50-year-old graduate engineer will take up his new duties on 1 August 2009.
With Kees van Hoek, Alpiq Holding Ltd. has appointed a new Head of Market Switzerland. From his location in Lausanne, the 50-year-old Dutchman will take over the responsibility from the 1 August 2009 for between 25 and 30 employees. He will report directly to Michael Wider, Head of the Business Division Energy Switzerland and Deputy CEO Alpiq.
Van Hoek has many years experience in the electricity industry and he knows Switzerland very well. After completing his degree in the Netherlands and various duties with a Dutch electricity company and with Siemens AG in The Hague, the graduate engineer continued his professional career in Switzerland. There he was with the Elektrizitätsgesellschaft Laufenburg (EGL) for nine years, one year with Euroenergy AG in Rheinfelden and ten years as Head of the Business Area Infrastructure with the railway company BLS AG in Berne.
