Piacenza thermal power station
Fired exclusively by natural gas, this thermal power station has been in operation since December 2005. High priority is accorded to environmental protection. The plant has gas and steam turbines and is connected to the city of Piacenza's district heating system. The waters of the River Po are used for cooling.
